LEVIATHAN

"To extend an arm deep into an abyss.
To reach in and then pull something out of that pit.
To be a medium and to speak for this being. To see with its eyes, speak with its tongue and to make with its hands."

This collection of work is what thrives under a rock, dwells in a cave, sleeps under the lake, and hides behind our eye. It is what we see before a dream and it is what whispers when we are at our stillest. It is a shard of our self embedded in a rock unable to see the sun like the Excalibur.

One by one strips of fabric twist and intertwine causing tension and tactility resulting into forms that are organic and free from manipulation. The process is akin to a dance where the maker and the material choreograph an object together. No master or slave, just two forces of the same frequency altering and filling a space. 

It is intended that the objects are not mere physical manifestation of energies but also as something abstract and confrontational. They pose a question on what we can truly see beyond material, craft, and awe. Every layer of fabric and thread is a reflection of everything that we are inside as beings created and formed from somewhere deep and unknown.
