The Philippines is one of the leading suppliers and importers of raw natural fibre that comes from abaca (Manila hemp), banana, hemp, piña(pineapple leaf fibre), and now bamboo fibre. And yet we are not fully able to use these same fibres for new products and projects because of the lack of initiative, proper development and research, and promotion. LORICO aims to promote as well as innovate the natural fibres that the Philippines has to offer. More than being an exporter of raw materials, the brand’s vision is to help the local design and fashion industry by developing new materials that has a range of applications and capabilities to meet the standards of modern trends and demands.
